Long vacations for school going kids are more like long awaited holidays when they can enjoy, play, go around with friends, and do lots of exciting activities that they always want to do but due to time shortage and heavy load of homework, they were not able to enjoy them.

Most of the kids find it difficult to return back to school after long summer vacations, they even complain that they get bored in the long vacations and had nothing special to do. So parents have to remember a few things to ease this back to school transition stage to make them aware that everyone feels a little nervous about the first day of school and that it will all become an everyday routine in a few days. Let them know the positive aspect of going back to school, such as hanging out with old friends, meeting new classmates, and lots of new learning with new teachers. Talk to your kids to know about their worries and do not hesitate to offer reassurances.

As a parent, you can adjust your own time schedule to make the transition smoother. It’s especially beneficial for parents to be home at the end of the school day for the first week. If it is not possible for you then spend quality time in the evening with them to know and care for their needs.

Hope this article on raising your child helped you to some extent for helping your children with back to school transition.
